The latest game in the 'Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles' series has been given a release date in Japan, with a stateside date expected soon.
The game, titled "Echoes in Time," was revealed in the latest issue of Japanese comic Shonen Jump, which indicated that the game would be released for Nintendo Wii and DS on January 29 in Japan.
According to the ad, the game will allow DS and Wii users to play together simultaneously and utilize Mii characters on both versions.
The 'Final Fantasy' series saw its original releases on the NES and SNES systems, but had been shifted to Sony's consoles for the last few chapters. The sub-series, 'Crystal Chronicles,' brought 'FF' back to Nintendo with it's release on GameCube in 2007.
Expect to hear more about "Echoes in Time" at this month's Tokyo Game Show. The next installment in the main 'FF' series, "Final Fantasy XIII," has been announced for XBox 360 and Playstation 3, though a U.S. release date has not yet been set.
