As if being the home of Monday Night Football wasn't enough to make ESPN NFL-happy, the 'Worldwide Leader in Sports' may be replacing ESPN Classic with the NFL Network.

As the NFL Network toils away battling the FCC, they've has been in talks with ESPN, hoping to form a joint venture that would have the NFL Network taking ESPN Classic's spot on your TV dial.
Home to eight regular-season games, the NFL Network has long been the target of criticism from fans who have no-access, and no chance for access, as the network remains unavailable on major carriers Time Warner, Cablevision and Charter.

While talks have progressed between the ESPN and the NFL, they've hit a few roadblocks, including the structuring and management of this new channel.

I've got to say that I'm in full support of this deal; I can't recall the last time I've watch ESPN Classic, and the eight games alone that the NFL Network will carry would make it worth it.
