Still weeks before their new album, "The Glass Passenger," hits store shelves, piano-rockers Jack's Mannequin are laying the groundwork for the album's release with a pair of iTunes-exclusive EPs.
Available now on iTunes, The Ghost Overground and In Valleys EPs feature a mix of live tracks, cuts from TGP and other unreleased tracks.
Released on August 5, The Ghost Overground features TGP's first single, "The Resolution," and "Bloodshot," as well as live recordings of "Holiday from Real" and "Kill the Messenger," two tracks from the band's 2005 debut, "Everything in Transit."
In Valleys, released September 9, features "Swim" from TGP, plus three B-sides that won't appear on the full-length record when it's released on September 30.
From what I've heard from these two EPs, it seems as though the driving force behind JM, Andrew McMahon, has delievered an outstanding follow-up to Transit. The former Something Corporate lead singer began JM as a solo project in 2004.
