Fire up your proton packs 'Ghostbusters' fans -- the series is preparing for a comeback. Sony pictures has signed-up Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, writers/producers for NBC's 'The Office, to pen the script for a third 'Ghostbusters' feature.
Based on comments from original cast member Harold Ramis, most of the original players will be involved, at some level, with the new flick. Ramis and Dan Aykroyd, who were both members of the original cast, as well as director Ivan Reitman are all consulting on the project.

Ramis just finished work on "Year One," a comedy he co-wrote with Stupnitsky and Eisenberg. Distributed through Sony (home to GB1 and GB2), "Year One" was co-produced by Judd Apatow, whose string of hit comedies ("Knocked Up," "Superbad," "Pinneapple Express") have fans hoping he'll join the project.

The other original cast members, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson are rumored to be involved as well. All four (Ramis, Aykroyd, Murry and Hudson) recently lent their voices to a new Ghostbusters video game.
