The Apple iPod rumor mill has been churning yet again. This time the iPod Nano and the iPod Touch are the targets.
Reports from a number of Apple-tracking websites claim that a remodeled Nano and an enhanced iPod Touch will be announced at a press event on September 9.
Based on these images, acquired by MacRumors.com, indicate that the Nano's form factor will be changing, switching to a elongated screen, which could be viewed sideways as a widescreen. The same sort or screen-rotating technology is featured in the iPhone and iPod Touch.
On the less-exciting tip, the iPod Touch's upgrade may be as simple as additional features that have just been added to the iPhone -- access to downloads from the App Store and the ability to puch calendars, contacts, and e-mail to your Touch.
