Mike Myers is going to war. Joining Brad Pitt, the funny-man has signed on for a role in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming flick, "Inglorious Bastards."

Taking a turn at drama, Myers will play British General Ed Fenech, who sends a group of soldiers, led by Pitt's character Aldo Raine, on a mission to assassinate Nazis leaders.
Inspired by the 1978 film of the same name, "Bastards" is set during World War II, and while it's not a direct remake, Tarantino hopes to pay homage to the exploitation flicks of the era.

Other names mentioned for roles include Eli Roth (Hostel, director), David Krumholtz (Numb3rs) and B.J. Novak (The Office). The film is gearing up for production, will film on location in Germany and is slated for a June 2009 release.
